Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter Ticket

We are recruiting for a Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter to join our team. We perform all types of construction in residential additions/renovations and commercial tenant improvements. We specialize in design/build and offer a great opportunity to someone who desires to be part of the creative and problem-solving process.

The successful applicant will:
– Have strong communication skills (written and verbal)
– Have knowledge of using a smartphone
– Report daily on project progress and requirements
– Have a well-rounded experience with foundation to finishing
– Be supported by the management team, you will be working with, and supervising apprentices and labourers
– Have a BC driver’s license and drivers abstract
– Have reliable transportation and basic hand tools

The company provides all larger tools for general requirements; however, you need to have a complete set of personal hand tools, including a cordless drill set and skill saw.

Driver, Tool Coordinator Crew Support Person

Full-time position, but this could also be a part-time position for the right candidate.

This position works closely with our trades’ team and is the primary driver/delivery person for our crew. You are highly relied on for warehousing/managing tool inventory, site set-up and clean up, providing some general labour.

Job Description:
– Portray a positive and professional image to the public, co-workers and our corporate partners
– Drive in a safe and defensive manner always
– Pick up and drop off material, equipment, and tools
– Keep tools clean, functioning, serviced, and organized
– Basic knowledge of power tools, hand tools, and equipment, as required to perform various tasks
– Prepare work areas with our crew
– Clean debris with our crew, garbage removal

Desired Skills and Experience:
– Highly organized
– You have strong communication skills
– Excellent customer service skills
– Physically able to lift- up to 60 lbs on a regular basis and excellent physical endurance
– Able to drive a 1-ton truck
– Driver’s license and clean drivers abstract
– Must be willing to work in variable climatic conditions
– A team player
– Must be able to pass a background check
– Must be able to manage time effectively
– Knowledge of local and surrounding areas
– Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

We can train you in:

APPRENTICES (2) Seal Journeyman Carpenter Ticket

Driven, self-motivated apprentices wanted. We are a teaching company; we are committed to ensuring that you get the most out of your hands-on practical experiences so that you can not only succeed as you work through your apprenticeship but you will exemplify what it means to be a carpenter.

Job Summary:
The Carpentry Apprentice works under the supervision of a qualified Journeyman Carpenter, engaging in learning competencies established by the Industry Training Authority of BC. The apprentice will work within a team or independently to execute carpentry tasks, upholding Outlook’s mission of providing a quality product with exceptional customer care.

Roles and Responsibilities:
– Assist in construction, renovation, or repair of homes, buildings, businesses, or other structures using appropriate hand tools, power tools and shop equipment.
– Assist in workplace housekeeping requirements, including cleaning and maintaining a safe workplace and job site.
– Assist with tool management program, ensuring tools are cleaned, maintained, repaired, tracked, and stored appropriately.
– Attend regular company meetings, engaging in the development and implementation of new initiatives and training.
– Attend and participate in daily huddles and safety discussions.
– Engage in lean thinking and lean initiatives.
– Participate in peer reviews and support peers in achieving personal and career goals.
